Emma and Jordan were married at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald, and what a beautiful afternoon it was that New Year’s Eve. I think my favorite moment from the wedding day was when Emma entered the room, Jordan and their wedding guests saw Emma for the first time that day. But the favorite moment was when Emma looked at her dad next to her, and they both took a deep breath together and continued walking. That reassuring look from her dad literally brought tears to my eyes. Emma was absolutely stunning, seeing Jordan’s face light up as she entered the room was so sweet! After their ceremony we did some formals in the staircase and halls of the hotel, then we headed to the Alberta Legislature Building for more formals, and ended back at the hotel with some group photos, and family photos. Emma and Jordan’s wedding reception was in the same room as their ceremony, and it was so cool to see the room transform even more thanks to all the hard work of the other venders and staff at the hotel.  After some speeches, slideshow, and their meals (which were absolutely amazing!) it was time for first dances. The first dance was beautiful, and then the sparklers went off and it was so amazing! I hadn’t had sparklers like that at a wedding before, so I didn’t know what to expect. They were so high and amazing, and the guests absolutely loved it. What a romantic and beautiful first dance! At the end of the night, for the New Year’s countdown, they had them go off and what an incredible moment to be a part of when 100’s of people scream “Happy New Year!” in a room. I live for those moments!
