Kelsey and Zach were married in the back yard of Kelsey’s family home, and it was stunning! What a beautiful day and ceremony it was! For mid October in Alberta, we had a warm and sunny day which really worked out for their outdoor ceremony and formal photos. Normally we would have snow in Mid October, so I was super thankful for the warmth. I have to say, my favorite and probably one of the most memorable moments for me as a wedding photographer, was when one of the bridesmaids were walking down the aisle with the flower girl, and the flower girl was just diggin’ for treasure. It was honestly the best. I will never forget it!!
All of the detail choices, from the colors and flower choices, to the simple chic wedding dress, heirloom clutch, blue suit, deep forest green bridesmaids dresses, were all just stunning.
I also love how Kelsey and Zach were seated amongst everyone else during their reception at Belvedere Golf and Country Club, instead of having a big head table with their party. After figuring out the best angles, I really love how those photos turned out too! Perfectly surrounded by those who love them.
Also I have to give an honorable mention to their live band, Hailey Mahon. You guys, as someone who has been to hundreds of weddings, I strongly believe a live band is the way to go. Everyone always dances, the energy is up by them. It’s always so good! In my opinion, Hailey’s voice is the best I’ve heard live, like ever. Hire her!
