I think I need to devote a day every month or so to do a self portrait. Since graduating I find I haven’t used my camera as much as I would’ve wanted to. I created a lot of pieces of work in school that I’m proud of, but that forward movement ended for me once I graduated. I just need to create something meaningful and impacting to other people. I want to do this for a living yes, but I also want to express myself through my photography. None-the-less these selfies were just the first layer to the onion that I’m gradually peeling back in terms of getting back into the creativity of it all. It was a beautiful evening yesterday. I went around the city to a couple places to test out the lighting and timing for a portrait session later in the weekend. I really should be packing my bags right now as I’m leaving for Iceland on Monday, but yet here I am, on the computer! Oh well. Do what you love, love what you do people. Don’t waste those years of life.
Eventually you’ll find a blog post with the self portraits I took in school and the meaning behind those self portraits.
Oh and hey! You can like my Facebook page to keep up to date with me, maybe book a session with me, you never know.
